Problem Note 55263: The error "java.lang.ClassCastException" might occur when you use SAS® Marketing Optimization or SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio

When you use SAS Marketing Optimization 6.1, the following error might be reported to the SASMarketingOptimization6.1.log file:

A similar error occurs in SAS Customer Intelligence Studio when you follow these steps:

  1. Create SAS Marketing Optimization input sample data.
  2. Save and manually upload the data successfully.
  3. Navigate to the upload page and try to upload data based on a schedule.
  4. Create a schedule and click the Send To Schedule button.

When you perform these steps, the following error is displayed on your machine:

An unexpected error occurred and no user guidance is available.  Check the application error logs for diagnostic information.  Error source=[].
